Bears - Packers

I got to shoot my last Packers game of the season on Sunday when their rival Chicago Bears came to town with a playoff spot on the line. I'll be honest, I have a bit of a biased towards the "skill position" players and tend to come away each week with tons of shots of Aaron Rodgers, Charles Woodson, Greg Jennings and Donald Driver. The one Packer star I didn't have many shots of this season was "The Claymaker" Clay Matthews. With that in mind I decided to set up pre-game shop in the corner where the outside linebackers warm up. The strategy paid off as I cam away with a bunch of solid images of Clay.

One cool side effect of my pregame decision was that I also got some shots of the game MVP. Little known linebacker Erik Walden racked up 11 tackles and recorded two sacks.

Walden and the Packers went on to defeat the Bears 10-3 and secure the #6 seed. It was a hard fought defensive battle as the two rivals duked it out. A 4th quarter touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to Donald Lee turned out to be the difference, but the defense was the story of the game. The pressure they put on Jay Cutler all game long, got to the Bears quarterback in the closing seconds as his pass for Devin Hester sailed high and Nick Collins came down with the interception.

After the game Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, Donald Driver and Aaron Rodgers shared a nice moment with the fans as they took a victory lap around Lambeau Field.
